Welcoming Families ........ By Building a Stronger Community
NBKindness is a neighborhood advocacy group whose purpose is to create a socially conscious opportunity for the children and families in North Beach (and the North-East corner of San Francisco) to experience a true, family-oriented neighborhood and community, focused around our children.
We will achieve this in several different activities that will foster inclusiveness, create a safe and clean neighborhood for our children to grow and develop, as well as inspire our families and neighbors to join his in making a difference in North Beach with impactful and purposeful events and action.

COUNTRY SUMMER BLOCK PARTY
Saturday, September 19th, 2026 (2:00-6:00)
Green Street (between Stockton and Powell)
Join us for this rootin' tootin' block party with live music, food and drink, arts & crafts for the kiddos, dancing, ice cream truck, kid's choo-choo train, local-small business tents, and entertainment for the kids and adults.
KID'S CLOTHING SWAP

Joe DiMaggio Playground (near Bocce Courts)
Bring your gently used children's clothes and equipment that your little ones have grown out of, and feel free to bring home new-to-you items for your children.
HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA

Calling all superheroes and princesses, ogres and fairies....please join us for our annual Halloween Extravaganza Block Party and enjoy a fun, safe trick-or-treat experience with live music, candy, bubble magic, haunted house, and some creepy decorations.
AN EVENING WITH SANTA

Washington Square Park
Yes, the big guy is coming! He is bringing holiday cheer to north Beach for this fun-filled evening with treats and hot coco, festive activities, music and caroling, and an amazing time with neighbors and friends. We hope that the Holiday Lights will be in affect and create a winter wonderland of sensory overload.

Special Projects
HOLIDAY LIGHTS IN WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK
We are very excited for this amazing opportunity in partnering with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to bring Holiday Lights to Washington Square Park this December. Fingers crossed.....we have been invited to submit a plan that allows holiday lighting throughout the park that will provide a safe, well-lit area to stroll, congregate and celebrate this festive time of year.
As soon as we get more information and get the "green light", we will keep you all informed and plan some amazing events this winter. Stay tuned.
